CE is Southview’s Christian Education program. These are the some of the updates of the different ministries going on in our church.
- We will be having a CE banquet on September 25th at The Pump House in Ashland. The banquet will begin at 5:30 and will include a speaker and dinner. The speaker this year will be Eric Anderson who will be talking on “Passing the Baton.” The meal will cost $8.50/single or $15.00/couple. The banquet is for any teachers in the church, elders and CE members.
- Promotion Sunday will be on September 11th.
- On September 10th the Youth will be having their welcome party. This will take place in Mohican as the youth will be doing a ropes course there.
- August 31st will be our Wednesday night kick-off for the coming year. The party will be at the Meyer’s pond.
- In our children’s ministry we have begun to discuss Adventures in Odyssey’s The Truth Chronicles. This is the children’s version of the Truth Project.
- We are always looking for additional help in our children’s ministry department (Sunday and Wednesday). There will be a sign-up sheet in the fellowship hall, or you may contact any one of the teachers if you would like to get involved in this ministry. If you do want to help, we will ask that you fill out a Statement of Conviction Form.
- Our youth Department is doing a study called The Way of the Maker. Another activity that the youth group has planned is a ropes course adventure in May.
- In our Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) classes, the Senior Sonshine class has combined with Russ Enzor’s class, who is teaching the book of Revelation. Doug Abel and Rex Weirich are team teaching a new class on “God as He Longs for You to See Him.”
