Activities
Acting Up: Our most active ministry of the youth group sends a puppet team out to nursing homes and other special events.
Wifflefest: Every year around July 4thSouthview puts on a wiffleball tournament. This huge event was actually started with the youth group, and we remain a big part of preparation, vision and playing!
Welcome Party: Before the start of every school year we have a “welcome to youth group” party for all who are just coming up or just joining our group. This is also when we say goodbye to our seniors. Welcome party is always a blast and sometimes gets a little messy!
Turkey Bowl: The turkey bowl is another tradition of our group. Every November, rain or shine, muddy or dry, we play football! Whether you are good at sports or not, this will be a great time of fun and laughter.
Murder Mystery: Our second biggest event of the year, we turn our church into a crime scene and invite people to come solve a murder. Every participant dresses up like one of the characters and plays the part of a culprit. Oh, and did I mention the great meal that is served!
Christmas Party: We also have a fun filled Christmas party every year that features a scavenger hunt and white elephant exchange.
Momentum: Our group is also proud to attend Momentum Youth Conference sponsored by CE National. This is always a great time of bonding, worship and service.
